At first inserting the key and turn part way lit up the dash lights and turned on the radio, however turning the rest of the way to start the car had no reaction whatsoever, not a single noise, or click or even attempt to crank. This has happened before, I usually just remove the key, wait about 1 minute then start the car without a problem.

However, this time the car did not start, even after waiting. I tried to jump the car thinking the battery might be the problem it is about 5 years old now but nothing happened, not even the dash lights or radio came on when the key was half-way turned. I would be grateful for any advice to begin diagnosing the problem, I'm strapped for cash but halfway handy with tools and general fixing things. GuruYMHL2 answered 2 years ago. I would check the starter. When the brushes get worn they don't make contact when worn short and the the quick try makes an arch and contact and continues to turn the starter over.

I would say the brushes are totally gone now. Yea, I surf often, and I would take my key with me in the water. Turns out you shouldn't take a key with an electronic chip for a swim. I guess the chip went bad then the ignition couldn't recognize it so wouldn't start the car as a safety feature, at least that is what was explained to me. A few months later I also found my positive battery terminal was slightly loose.

My Nissan Versa is doing the same thing tonight and did it about 2 months ago. At first I thought the car just wasn't in hear properly because the person who finally came to help me got it to start in Neutral. This time though, that doesn't work, we checked all over and the main fuse box, even tried boosting It, and it's still dead in the water. Anyone hear of why this seems to be a trend? GuruV2GKT answered 2 years ago.And I really loved my car until this. My brother told me that it most likely blew a fuse.

I looked everywhere for it and can't find it anywhere. Can you tell me where the fuse for the radio is? Thank you. Hello there, chances are there is a bit more going on than just blowing a fuse. When a fuse blows there a few possible causes such as a failing radio, short in the wiring, or too much load on that circuit. If the fuse is blown and was replaced without resolving the issue there is a good chance the fuse would blow again immediately.

Trunk release button stopped working. Hi, all I went out to my Nissan Versa yesterday morning to load some stuff in the trunk and the button didn't work. I then unlocked the car and tried again. No dice. Still won't open.

I then used the key in the trunk lock and opened the trunk lid. All I did was turn the trunk light on and off. There is a fuse under the hood for the remote door locks, but as best I can tell it is not equipped with sockets and is not used.

Nonetheless I put a 10A fuse in there, just for giggles. Didn't help. No luck.

Normal mean arterial pressure neonate

So, here I am. Since the trunk release works fine with the key, that leads me to wonder if there isn't a miscommunication between the remote door latch system and the trunk, as the trunk won't open if the doors are locked.

Any suggestions on how to trouble-shoot it? Any suggestions where to look? I'd rather not have to pay the dealer if I can avoid it. Is this button you speak of on the remote or in the car? If it is in the car, the remote door lock fuse will not affect your problem, the fuse you should check is actually inside the car, driver's side to the left of and under the steering wheel.

There should be a fuse diagram there that will help you find which one is designated to the unlock button. I would give this a try even if it is a remote unlock problem. It would be worth a try to check google images for some more detailed fuse diagrams if you are having troubles. Hope this helps.
